Spanish Sage Floral Water (100 ml)

Salvia Lavandulifolia is a perennial and aromatic herbaceous plant, belonging to the lamiaceae or labiate family (named for the corolla of its flower, divided into an upper lip with two petals and a lower lip with three). It grows in the Western Mediterranean Region, being native to Spain and the south of France, where it is found forming bushes on limestone rocky soils located in mountains with a minimum altitude of 200 to 400 meters and a Mediterranean climate with little rain; In the Iberian Peninsula, salviales are located in mountainous areas and dry lands of the Center and Southeast, sharing habitat with other species such as thyme, rosemary, lavender, broom or rockrose. The term "salvia" has Roman origin and derives from the Latin word "salvare" which means "to heal", in reference to the healing properties of this medicinal plant; The specific name "officinalis" refers to its traditional use in the pharmacopoeia or pharmacy offices, while the subspecific name "lavandulifolia" refers to its leaves having a smell similar to lavender. Its therapeutic uses are: antioxidant, astringent, antiseptic, expectorant and tonic, ideal for treating pathologies such as rhinitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, flu, common colds, asthenia, neuralgia and even memory aid in Alzheimer's cases. At the aromatherapy level it is indicated to overcome periods of stress, depression and insomnia due to its anti-anxiety effects.
